  • Leg 1: Chicago Sky +11 (-108)
  • Leg 2: Under 165 Total Points (-110)
  • Leg 3: Angel Reese To Score 10+ Points (-410)
  • Leg 4: Angel Reese To Record 10+ Rebounds (-560)
  • Leg 5: Marina Mabrey To Record 4+ Assists (-156)
  • Leg 6: Breanna Stewart To Score 15+ Points (-390)

The Sky (9-12) take on the Liberty (18-4) on Thursday night at Barclays Center, and New York has a quick turnaround after playing on Wednesday afternoon in Connecticut. The Liberty won 71-68 in a marquee battle with the Sun, seizing the top spot in the WNBA standings with the victory.

Sabrina Ionescu provided the late heroics Wednesday, hitting a bucket with 1:58 to go in regulation to put New York up 69-68 before she made a shot with 4.4 seconds left to put a bow on the win. Ionescu ended up with a team-high 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting while adding five assists, five rebounds, a blocked shot, and a steal.  Breanna Stewart picked up 18 points and 14 boards with three swats for the double-double, while Jonquel Jones snagged 11 rebounds to go along with eight points. New York was up 39-38 at halftime, and it is 13-0 this season when leading at the break.

The Liberty ended up hitting 49.1% (28-of-57) from the field Wednesday, even though it was just 23.1% (3-of-13) from behind the 3-point line. That has a lot to do with Connecticut’s strong defense. The Chicago Sky isn’t nearly as suffocating along the third level, but it does allow teams to hit just 31.0% from downtown, No. 3 in the WNBA. Chicago has managed 79.3 PPG to rank 9th in the NBA, while it is 11th in both field-goal percentage (42.2%) and 3-pointer percentage (30.4%).

These teams have split the previous two matchups, with the visiting team winning outright and covering both meetings. Chicago won 90-81 on the road on May 23 as a 16.5-point underdog as the Over (168.5) cashed, while New York exacted revenge with an 88-75 win as an 8.5-point favorite as the Under (164) cashed at Wintrust Arena on June 4 in the most recent meeting.

The Sky played on Wednesday afternoon, too, edging the Atlanta Dream 78-69, while rookie Angel Reese was good for 11 points and 13 rebounds to extend her WNBA record to 14 straight games with a double-double. Backers of the Atlanta Dream, who were catching seven points, were none too pleased with Reese. She was sitting on nine points with 6.4 seconds left in regulation, and her teammates were passing to her in the post trying to get her a final bucket to get to double-digit points. She was fouled by Atlanta’s Tina Charles, sending Reese to the free-throw line, where she secured the points she needed. If you had Atlanta +7, you went from a push to a bad beat.

With its win over Atlanta, Chicago has won and covered three of the past four games, while the Under has cashed in each of the past two games. The Sky will be playing their first game this season on no rest.

For New York, it will likely be brimming with confidence after the huge game in Connecticut, but it could also have a little bit of a hangover after the giant performance. In the second end of a back-to-back with no rest, New York has won both games, while going 1-1 ATS. The Over is 2-0 in two games with no rest, too.

The play is taking the Sky plus the points, as Chicago is 2-1 ATS in three games as a double-digit underdog. In addition, let’s go low, as both teams are coming back on a quick turnaround with no rest.

As far as the player props are concerned, it’s a good idea to take the Reese props, as she looks for a 15th straight double-double. She showed Wednesday that she is serious about getting those numbers, no matter the cost.

For dimes, Marina Mabrey has managed four or more assists in nine straight games, so she’s a good bet to get to at least four assists again on Thursday. As for B-Stew, she simply needs to get to 15 points or more. She dropped a 33-point/14-rebound double-double in the most recent meeting with the Sky, and she has reached 15 or more points in eight of the previous nine contests.
