Inter Miami are enjoying a well-earned vacation ahead the start of the preseason for the 2024 MLS season. As the season approaches, Gerardo Martino is looking for his team to arrive in the best possible shape for the return of Major League Soccer and the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Previously, Tata revealed that Inter Miami’s preseason plan was to report back during the first days of January and carry out work for approximately 40 days in which several friendlies would be arranged both in the United States and abroad.
In relation to these games, Inter Miami recently denied reports that they were set to play against Al Nassr and Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia as part of the Riyadh Season Cup.

ToggleAnd so, when everything pointed to The Herons having almost sealed a preseason friendly against Flamengo, several reports from Brazil, especially from Globo, indicate that this clash between the two has in fact been canceled, although the reasons behind the decision have not been mentioned.
It was Globo journalist Renan Moura who broke the scoop that the match which Messi’s Inter Miami were said to be preparing against the Brazilian team is off, with Flamengo now actually set to play another friendly in the United States at the end of January instead.
The match is said to be against Orlando City at a venue to be determined, although everything points to the game being held at Exploria Stadium, home of the Florida side who were recently eliminated in the MLS Conference semi-finals.
