With tonight’s 15-game slate, I’m eying a couple of games for our same-game parlays. We’ll attack some of the weak pitchers on the slate and hope for the best!

Let’s get right to it.

St. Louis Cardinals at Pittsburgh Pirates

  • Leg 1: Bryan Reynolds Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)
  • Leg 2: Oneil Cruz Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)
  • Leg 3: Josh Palacios Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)

The Cardinals will send out Lance Lynn tonight. Lynn is a veteran righty who has been awful against lefties over the last 30 days.

Lynn has allowed a .286 ISO and wOBA of .372 with only 25% of ground balls and 39.3% of fly balls to lefties over the last month. In addition, he’s given up 35.7% of line drives to lefties and has earned just 18.6% of strikeouts with 14% of walks.

Lynn has been all over the place against lefties, so we’ll attack with three lefties in the Pittsburgh order. Bryan Reynolds has smashed a .318 ISO and wOBA of .477 against his last 74 righties. Meanwhile, Oneil Cruz has hit a .231 ISO and wOBA of .357 in the previous 30 days against righties.

Lastly, Josh Palacios has nailed a .226 ISO and wOBA of .365 and has struck out only 10.5% of the time in his last 38 plate appearances against righties. Palacios has hit more than 77% of hard contact, while Reynolds and Cruz have smashed a high rate of fly balls. Reynolds and Cruz also have the highest BABIP on the Pirates against righties in this time frame. Take these three lefties to add two total bases at +667.

MLB Same Game Parlay Odds: +667

Arizona Diamondbacks at Kansas City Royals

  • Leg 1: Jordan Montgomery Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-172)
  • Leg 2: Christian Walker Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)
  • Leg 3: Eugenio Suarez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+150)

Besides Bobby Witt Jr., the Royals haven’t been elite offensively against lefties. However, the projected lineup has only struck out 13.4% of the time against lefties. Only Vinnie Pasquantino, a lefty, has struck out more than 18.8% of the time against lefties.

Therefore, Jordan Montgomery, who has added 14.8% of strikeouts this season, likely won’t have enough targets to add at least four strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks have a good matchup against Alec Marsh of the Royals. Marsh has watched 160 righties hit a .248 ISO and wOBA of .361 this season. Recently, he’s even allowed 32.3% of fly balls to righties and has given up 54.8% of hard contact over the last 30 days to righties.

Therefore, we’ll ride with Christian Walker and Eugenio Suarez to add two total bases. Walker has slugged a .246 ISO and wOBA of .364 against righties over the last month, while Suarez has added a .294 ISO and wOBA of .400 against his last 55 righties.

Most of the Arizona lineup has hit a high ISO and wOBA. You really can’t go wrong with any of the bats. But those two righties, to me, look the best against Marsh.

MLB Same Game Parlay Odds: +691
