Barring an unlikely collapse from red-hot Manchester City (85 points), the Cityzens just about have their third consecutive Premier League Title wrapped up. A 12th straight PL win against 11th-ranked Chelsea (43 points) on Sunday morning will see them secure the championship trophy.
As for the rest of the league, there’s still plenty to play for down the stretch of the 2023 campaign as some teams jockey for European positioning while others are simply trying to avoid relegation. As it stands, Leeds (31 points), Leicester City (30 points), and Southampton (24 points) are in the cellar, while Everton (32 points) is safe for the moment.
Let’s dive into where I’m placing my money for the upcoming matchday in the Premier League.

Manchester City (-390) vs. Chelsea (+950), Draw (+550) | 3.5 (+125/-160)
While it’s not quite to the ranks of 2009 Barcelona or 2020 Bayern Munich’s sextuple performances, Manchester City is certainly having a season to remember. They’re on their way to a third straight PL title and have upcoming championship bouts in the FA Cup (Manchester United) and the Champions League (Internazionale). But first, they’ll be tasked with hosting Chelsea on Sunday. If Pep Guardiola can get the win, his club will secure the Premier League Championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. ET from Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
I’ll take City to win this game and do it in a dominant fashion. They’re riding an 11-match win streak in the Premier League, and eight of those matches have ended in multi-goal victories. This team is truly a force, from the individual accomplishments of Erling Haaland and his 36-goal season to the team’s 92 overall goals. They have the weapons on their roster to stretch this lead out by multiple goals while securing the title on their home pitch.
They’ll be running into a Chelsea team that’s just 1-3-7 in their previous 11 matches in all competitions. Five of those seven losses have come by at least two goals. Let’s lock in the champs to win by at least two tallies in this spot.
Bet: Manchester City -1.5 (-145)
