The Mississippi Gaming Commission has published its November results for 2023.
Sports betting
When looking directly at sports wagering, overall handle was $62.4m, with the majority once again coming from Coastal, with $43.1m.
The total taxable revenue amount for the state was $3.1m and a win amount of 5%.
At Central, handle was $12m and taxable revenue was $1.1m, with a win of 9%.
Basketball performed the best in this region, with handle of $3m and taxable revenue of $289,672.
As will be a running trend, baseball was the worst performing, accounting for a write of $16,546 and a revenue of -$46,233, due to a win rate of -279%.
At Coastal, basketball also scored the highest in individual sports, with $23.2m in handle and $128,574 in revenue.
Baseball fared similarly here, bringing in $196,745 in handle and -$80,196 in revenue, due to a win rate of -41%.
Finally, at Northern, football was the highest with handle of $3.7m and a revenue of $133,355.
Once again, baseball was the lowest, with $24,738 in handle and -$13,369 in revenue.
Casino
Gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the month totalled $191.6m for the three core areas of the state.
These are comprised of Central, which brought in $24.4m; Coastal, which brought in $122.3m; and finally Northern, with $44.9m.
The total $191.6m p is a slight increase from the $191.1m p from October 2023, and a 2% when looking at annual statistics.
Slots had a total of $2.1bn in handle and a win amount of $158.7m.
As this was calculated across 21,205 slot units, this meant there was an average of $7,484 win per unit.
Across the entire state, penny slots in Costal reported the highest amount of bets in at $520m.
Table games had an overall drop of $147.8m and hold of $25.7m, resulting in a hold rate of 17%.
Blackjack proved to be the best-performing table game in all three regions, accounting for $4.7m drop in Central, $37.6m in Coastal and $17.6m in Northern.
